How to become a member of the ELI
Members of the ELI may come from academia, judiciaries, the various legal professions, government, legislatures, or other vocations.
Fellows
You can apply to become a Fellow of the ELI if you are a natural person and actively engage, by your professional, vocational or scholarly activities, in European legal development. You must undertake to speak, vote and participate in activities carried out within the framework of the Association on the basis of your own personal and professional convictions without regard to the interests of particular stakeholders.
The annual membership fee for Fellows is 60 euro.
Individual Observers
You can apply to become an Individual Observer if you are a natural person taking an active interest in European legal development. This status is appropriate, especially, if you cannot undertake to speak and vote without regard to the interests of particular stakeholders.
The annual membership fee for Individual Observers is 60 euro.
