Prof Dr jur Thomas Ackermann, LLM (Cambridge) spoke about the connections between fuel prices and antitrust law as illustrated by the current example of the ‘fuel discount’ in Germany. He also discussed the main elements of the upcoming 11th amendment to the German Act against Restraints of Competition (GWB). MMag Erika Ummenberger-Zierler supplemented the lecture with a presentation of the Austrian legal situation as well as the relevant fundamental rights restrictions on price controls.
