ELI Belgio-Luxembourg Hub Held its Second Sustainability Lunchtime Seminar on International Economic Law

17.02.2022

On 17 February 2022, the second seminar in the Belgio-Luxembourg Hub’s Sustainability Lunchtime Seminar series entitled ‘International Economic Law and Non-Economic Values: A Critical Approach’ took place.

By shedding light on the neoliberal biases behind International Economic Law (IEL) that make it blind to non-economic values, Edoardo Stoppioni (Professor; University of Strasbourg) reflected on the possibility of envisaging new non-hegemonic conceptions of IEL that would be more in line with the need for integration between the environmental, economic and social dimensions that stem from the pursuit of sustainability.
