AI and Public Administration: ELI Model Rules Presented at a Conference Organised by the University of Vienna

On 22 April 2022, the ELI Model Rules on Impact Assessment of Algorithmic Decision-Making Systems Used by Public Administration were presented at a Conference on AI and public administration.

The ‘Künstliche Intelligenz in der öffentlichen Verwaltung: Probleme, Praxisbeispiele, Regelungsvorschläge’ Conference was organised by Prof Dr Iris Eisenberger and Team member of the ELI project on AI and Public Administration, Prof Dr Franz Merli.

The ELI Model Rules were presented by Prof Dr Jens-Peter Schneider, Project Co-Reporter of the ELI project, as part of a panel focusing on proposed rules and regulations in the field. Project Team member Jonathan Dollinger also participated on this occasion and delivered a presentation on regulatory developments in the USA and Canada. A lively discussion with participants followed.
