ELI President Disseminates EFF Output with Danish Ministry of Social Affairs and the Interior

On 24 October 2019, ELI President Wendehorst presented the different toolkits of the Empowering European Families (EEF) project at the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Interior in Copenhagen.

ELI President Wendehorst met Lars Thøgersen, legal advisor and expert in family law matters at the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Interior in Copenhagen, Denmark. This meeting was part of a series of other meetings President Wendehorst has held with different national ministries in order to explore cooperative avenues in the dissemination of the project. The output of the project including the three toolkits for married couples, registered partners and couples in informal relationships can be found here.   

The Ministry of Social Affairs and the Interior is responsible for coordinating family law matters which includes marriage, the matrimonial property regime, paternity and co-maternity, legal separation and divorce, custody, the child’s place of residence, access, child and spousal maintenance, adoption, and international child abduction.

Wendehorst warmly welcomed the Ministry’s contributions.
