Digital Law SIG Conference in Ferrara (Italy)

5-6 July 2018: A conference co-organised by the ELI Digital Law SIG on 'European and Asian Perspectives on the Digital Economy: Platforms, Blockchain and FinTech'. This event was co-organised with Korea Institute for National Competitiveness, University of Ferrara, University of Osnabrück and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and took place in Ferrara.

Technological innovation has an increasingly significant impact on individuals and enterprises creating new business opportunities but also new regulatory challenges.

Smart technologies are changing the equilibrium between individual fairness, privacy and legal certainty and other established legal paradigms.

This interdisciplinary conference brought together leading experts from Europe and Asia, and sought to address the impact of digital technology on the law and to assess the most recent legislative developments. 

The focus was set, in particular, on:
