ELI and the EJN Explore Synergies

17.12.2021

On Friday, 17 December 2021, representatives of ELI and the European Judicial Network (EJN) met to inform each other about their respective organisations and work programmes, in particular in the field of judicial cooperation in criminal matters, as well as to explore avenues for cooperation going forward.

From ELI’s side, the President, Prof Dr Pascal Pichonnaz, Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox, and one of the Reporters of ELI’s Admissibility of E-Evidence in Criminal Proceedings in the EU project, Prof Dr Dr hc Lorena Bachmaier, were present. They were joined by Ola Löfgren (Head of EJN Secretariat), Ianina Gabriela Lipara (EJN Secretariat Coordinator) and Maija Andrijauska (Seconded National Expert), all of whom discussed potential areas for cooperation, including in particular in the field of e-evidence in criminal proceedings. ELI is immensely grateful to the EJN for the support it has already provided and looks forward to building a mutually beneficial partnership with it.
