09.11.2018

On 8 November 2018, the University of Vienna and the ELI have signed their extended cooperation agreement until the end of 2023.

‘We are supporting the ELI and its aim to improve the law in Europe since it was founded in 2011. This by now third extension of our cooperation underlines our conviction that the European dimension has an ever-growing importance for the University of Vienna’, stated Heinz W Engl, Rector of the University of Vienna at the signing ceremony.

The base of the ELI Secretariat in Vienna enhances the influence of the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna on the development of European law and thus increases the international visibility of the University of Vienna. The cooperation agreement was signed on 8 November 2018 by the Rector and ELI President Christiane Wendehorst in the presence of the ELI Executive Committee and Irmgard Griss representing the ELI Senate.
