Trainees (Rechtsreferendare/-innen in der Wahlstation)

The Secretariat of the European Law Institute in Vienna is permanently looking for:

Trainees (Rechtsreferendare/-innen in der Wahlstation)

The European Law Institute

The European Law Institute (ELI), founded in June 2011 as an entirely independent organisation, aims to improve the quality of European law, understood in the broadest sense. It seeks to initiate, conduct and facilitate research, to make recommendations, and to provide practical guidance in the field of European legal development. To accomplish its tasks, the ELI operates on its own initiative. It is also, however, available for consultation with institutions involved in the development of law on a European, international or national level.

Your tasks

As a Referendar/in in the Secretariat of the ELI you will work under the guidance of an officer of the Secretariat and independently fulfill tasks in order to support the project groups and the decision-making bodies of the ELI. You will prepare meetings and conferences and will have the opportunity to work on current projects of the ELI with an international and highly qualified team.

Your profile

You have completed your ‘Erstes Staatsexamen’ successfully and have an excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of other European languages is an asset. During your academic studies you have shown interest in European and international law and have acquired experience abroad. You are motivated, a team player and you enjoy working independently in a multicultural environment.

Please send your CV in English to secretariat@europeanlawinstitute.eu. It is not necessary to have your certificates translated.

Please note that the position will not be funded by the ELI and is strictly targeted at "Rechtsreferendare/-innen in der Wahlstation".
