Laura Valle is Associate Professor of Private Law at the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) where she teaches Private Law, Contract Law and Legal Aspects of IT. In May 2021, she achieved the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor of Private Law. Her research and publications have dealt primarily with contract law, consumer protection, European contract law. Recently she has developed her research also in the fields of legal instruments for sustainable enterprises, family firm succession, data protection law, and IT contracts. She was the Co-Investigator of the Research Project ‘Trusted Cloud Computing for Europe 2020; (2015 – 2018), and the Principal Investigator of the following Research Projects, all financed by Unibz: ‘Contract, sustainability, human rights and the CSR’ (2016-2019), ‘Handing over the family business to the next generations and the succession law in Europe’ (2019-2022), ‘Contracts, Technical Standards, Certification Systems for sustainable economic relationships’ (2022-2025). She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Law, Market and Innovation, and of the Editorial Board of the journal Contratto e impresa. In 2020, she published the book Laura Valle, Il contratto e la realizzazione dei diritti della persona.
