The Faculty of Law at the University of Innsbruck is one of Austria's oldest and most prestigious legal institutions. Established during the university's foundational era, it has grown to become the country's third-largest law faculty, currently educating around 4,500 students.

Through its 10 specialized departments (institutes), the faculty offers a comprehensive academic spectrum that covers all areas of contemporary valid law alongside its historical foundations. It is internationally renowned for its transnational focus, particularly highlighted by its unique integrated degree in Italian Law (offered in cooperation with the University of Padua) as well as its strengths in European and International Law. By bridging classic jurisprudence with forward-looking fields like digitalization and legal theory, the faculty prepares graduates for elite legal careers both locally and globally.
