An online meeting took place between ELI and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss potential avenues for cooperation in the field of legal transition.

ELI was represented by Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, President of ELI and the EBRD was represented by Vesselina Haralampieva, Head of Sustainable Finance Governance & Regulation and Gian Piero Cigna, Head of the Financial Law Unit.

The meeting focused on ELI’s initiatives, with a focus on areas of growing importance for legal transition, including legal harmonisation and EU-aligned reforms, digital and technology law, and sustainability, ESG and corporate governance.

The presentation was followed by a moderated discussion with LTT, exploring how ELI outputs could support legal transition objectives in EBRD regions.
