ELI President Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell and ELI Secretary General Dr Vanessa Wilcox  met remotely with representatives of the Faculty of Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile  Nicolás Cobo, Director of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Law, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Javiera Ortúzar, International Affairs Coordinator, Faculty of Law, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and María Isabel Sepúlveda Salazar, Administrative Coordinator, Faculty of Law, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile to discuss preparations for a joint event in Santiago celebrating ELI's 15th anniversary.

Scheduled for 10 November 2026, the event will introduce ELI and its activities, present selected ELI projects and instruments, facilitate an exchange of legal perspectives between Europe and Chile, and explore opportunities for future cooperation. The programme will be held in Spanish and is expected to attract judges, legal practitioners, ministry representatives, law firms, arbitrators, notaries, academics, and students.
