ELI President, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, participated as a speaker in ‘The Fourth 21st Century International Forum of Law School Deans and Jurists: World Rule of Law Forum in the Era of AI’. The event was convened in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Renmin University of China and was jointly organised by the Renmin University Law School and the UNIDROIT Asian Transnational Law Centre.
The Forum gathered distinguished law school deans, jurists, legal scholars, and institutional representatives from across the globe to explore contemporary legal challenges and developments, particularly those arising from technological transformation. Key topics included the global regulatory frameworks for digital assets and the evolving role of the rule of law in the age of artificial intelligence.
Professor Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell contributed to the Opening Ceremony alongside Deans from leading institutions, including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Bologna, UCL, and Mannheim. She also participated as a speaker in the session on Global Legal Responses to Digital Assets, a two-day panel co-organised by UNIDROIT.
Her intervention reflected ELI’s commitment to facilitating international dialogue on the rule of law and advancing coherent legal responses to digital innovation.
