From 17–20 September 2025, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, President of the European Law Institute (ELI), was honoured as Distinguished Guest of the National University of Tucumán, Argentina. Invited as Keynote Speaker at the 16th Argentine Congress on Corporate Law and the 12th Ibero-American Congress on Corporate and Business Law, she addressed an audience of prominent academics and practitioners across the region.

Founded over a century ago as the first higher education institution in northern Argentina, the University hosted the event which gathered leading experts in corporate and business law. During a formal ceremony, Prof Dr Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell was conferred the title by the University’s Rector and Dean, an honour also extended to the esteemed Argentinian jurist Dr Daniel Roque Vítolo.
