In an upcoming session, Prof Katherine Reece Thomas (City Law School) and Dr Dogan Ali Gultutan (Solicitor, City Law School) will discuss the practical challenges that arise when enforcing arbitral awards against states, particularly where questions of state immunity limit the ability of courts to act against state assets. The discussion will explore how different jurisdictions approach these issues and what it means for the effectiveness of international arbitration.
The event will be moderated by Assoc Prof Ana Keglevic Steffek (City Law School, University of London, SIG Co-Chair).
