ELI President Professor Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell and Secretary General Vanessa Wilcox welcomed Julie Rieger, Chief Counsel in the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency, to Vienna on 21 September 2026.

During the meeting, ELI was informed that it has been accepted as a Partner in the Global Forum on Law, Justice and Development, the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency’s principal partnership framework. ELI warmly welcomes this development and looks forward to contributing to the Forum’s work.

The exchange also explored shared priorities and possible avenues for further cooperation, ELI looks forward to developing this partnership with the World Bank.
