ELI President Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell represented the European Law Institute at events organised alongside the Chief Justice Meeting and Pacific Conference in Seoul on 17 September 2026.

The seminar, hosted by South Korea's SIFoCC Support Group, brought together members of the judiciary, legal experts, and representatives of international organisations.

The programme featured discussions on developments in commercial justice and the rule of law, including an address by Sir Geoffrey Vos on artificial intelligence and a fireside discussion with Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon.

The event served as an opportunity to represent the European legal community at this distinguished international forum in Asia, looking at meaningful exchanges on developments in commercial justice, judicial cooperation, the rule of law, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in the administration of justice.
