ELI President Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez des las Heras Ballell participated in the Annual Conference of the European Centre of Medical Liability and Insurance (EuCML), held in Ferrara, Italy, on 11 September 2026.
As part of the conference programme, the ELI President chaired a panel entitled “Rebuilding the Firewall: Dissuasiveness and EU Civil Remedies: An Analysis.” The session brought together leading academics and practitioners to discuss the role of civil remedies within the European Union legal framework and their effectiveness in ensuring compliance, deterrence, and access to justice.
