ELI President Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell and Scientific Director Prof Dr Christiane Wendehorst participated in RAID 2026 (Regulation of AI, Internet and Data), a high-level conference bringing together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, academics, and digital governance experts to discuss the future of Europe's digital landscape.

The ELI representatives both addressed key developments in artificial intelligence, data governance, innovation, and digital regulation.

On 29 September, President Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell joined the panel ‘The Platform Economy: Innovation, Growth, Accountability and Rights’, discussing the evolving relationship between innovation, consumer protection, accountability, and regulatory frameworks in Europe's digital environment.

On 28 September, Professor Wendehorst participated in the panel ‘Setting the Scene: Scanning the Digital Future’, which explored emerging technologies, digital transformation, and the opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of the digital economy.
