ELI Scientific Director Christiane Wendehorst has been awarded the Austrian Decoration of Honor for Science and Art by the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen.

The Decoration of Honor is one of Austria’s highest distinctions and is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of science and art. The number of living recipients is limited to 36 Austrian and 36 foreign citizens, with an equal division between science and art.

ELI warmly congratulates Prof Dr Wendehorst on this prestigious recognition of her remarkable achievements and contributions to science and society.
