ELI had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the People’s Procuratorate of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, during their visit to Vienna.
The delegation comprised prominent legal figures including Ms Zheng Jiamei (Deputy Chief Prosecutor), Ms Guo Peiying (Permanent Member of the Procuratorial Committee, People’s Procuratorate of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), Mr Tian Chengjun (Chief Prosecutor, People’s Procuratorate of Wuhai City), Ms Song Weiyan (Chief Prosecutor, Hohhot Railway Transport Branch, People’s Procuratorate of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), Mr Wang Chuanhong (Chief Prosecutor, People’s Procuratorate of Xiaoheihe Area, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) and Ms Wang Jun (Deputy Director of the Common Crime Procuratorial Department, People’s Procuratorate of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region).
Dr Vanessa Wilcox, ELI Secretary General, provided a comprehensive overview of ELI’s mission, activities, and ongoing projects. Special emphasis was placed on ELI’s impactful contributions to legal reform, particularly how its projects have influenced legislative developments at both national and EU levels.
ELI Co-Reporters, Ilaria Pretelli and Susanne Gössl led the presentation on ELI’s Enhancing Child Protection: Private International Law on Filiation and the European Commission’s Proposal COM/2022/695 final.
