Reporters of the ELI Project on Advance Choices Met in Helsinki

19.10.2023

On 19 October 2023, Christiana Fountoulakis and Adrian Ward, Co-Reporters of the ELI Project on Advance Choices for Future Disablement, met in Helsinki.

The meeting, which took place on the day following the 33rd Alzheimer Europe Conference, aimed at reviewing the project’s progress and agreeing on the next steps. On the  occasion, the Reporters analysed questionnaire responses delivered by the project’s Country Contributors over the past few months. The responses from about 16 European jurisdictions will feed into the model laws and practical guidance that are being developed by the project team.

ELI would like to thank the University of Eastern Finland for generously offering its premises for the meeting.

At the Alzheimer Europe Conference, Adrian Ward, along with Kees Blankman (member of the Advisory Committee for the ELI project), Rieneke Stelma-Roorda (Country Contributor for the Netherlands) and two others, made a team presentation in a dedicated session which enabled Adrian Ward to describe the concept of the project.
