Aldo Laudonio

Aldo Laudonio is an Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Department of Law, Economics, and Sociology of the "Magna Graecia" University of Catanzaro.

He is the author of numerous academic publications in the field of commercial law, spanning negotiable instruments, corporate law, non-profit entities, insolvency law, financial law, industrial property law, as well as commercial and banking contracts.

He earned his Ph.D. in Domestic and International Commercial Law from the Faculty of Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. For over twenty years, he has taught a wide range of courses across undergraduate (Bachelor's), specialized, and Master's degree programs, and in various universities' master and Ph.D. programs.

He conducted two research stays at the Faculty of Law of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Munich and taught a course in a post-graduate program at the Law School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto (Portugal). He was a speaker at numerous national and international conferences.

He is a member of the Academic Board for the Ph.D. program in “Private Autonomy, Business, Labour, and Protection of Rights in European and International Perspective” established at Sapienza University of Rome. Furthermore, he is a member of the Italian Society for Research in Comparative Law (SIRD), the Italian Association of Commercial Law Professors “Orizzonti del Diritto Commerciale” (ODC), and a sustaining member of the European Law Institute (ELI).

He is an attorney admitted to the Special Bar for representation before the Higher Courts in Italy.
