Mr. Selimov is a nationally and internationally recognized legal scholar and policy advisor whose work spans comparative law, international legal education, and academic diplomacy.

He is the recipient of a highly selective, government-issued educational award, designated for only one legal scholar nationwide through a rigorous competition administered by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Romanian Ministry of Education. Mr Selimov was subsequently awarded a fully funded international legal education scholarship, which he sustained through consistent top-ranking performance at the West University of Timișoara, Romania’s top-tier legal institution.

In recognition of his legal and academic contributions, Mr Selimov has been elected a Fellow Member of the European Law Institute (ELI) and a Sustaining Member of the American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA), elite institutions that admit only individuals with documented records of excellence. He has served as a judge in an American Bar Association competition and as a peer reviewer for an international scholarly journal, reflecting the trust placed in his legal judgment by both academic and professional institutions.

As a Fellow Member of ELI, Mr Selimov intends to actively contribute to the Institute’s mission of improving the quality of European law through research, collaboration, and practical legal reform. He aims to engage in ELI's working groups, contribute to its project development initiatives, and promote comparative legal dialogue by bringing a Central Asian perspective to discussions on European legal integration.

Beyond these achievements, Mr Selimov has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of international, European, and comparative law, and he has played a central role in shaping international education cooperation frameworks.
