Christiaan Stokkermans

Prof. dr. Chr.M. (Christiaan) Stokkermans is full professor of Corporate Law at Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Until 2015 he was a partner of international law firm Allen & Overy LLP, based in Amsterdam. After graduating at the law faculty of Free University Amsterdam, he studied for a year in Nancy, France, where he earned an advanced studies diploma (DEA) in European law. In 2017 he was promoted (PhD) cum laude on the topic of partnership law modernization. Christiaan teaches and publicizes regularly on corporate law subjects. In his work, he gives much attention to comparing jurisdictions, EU law and developments in the fields of corporate sustainability. In addition to his work as a law professor, Christiaan serves as an alternate judge in the Amsterdam Court of Appeals. He is also a board member of a prominent Dutch heritage organization, the Hendrick de Keyser association.
